Save the cafeteria
In the beginning, there was alcohol.
People would just be drunk all day, every day. Very little got done and it was usually done poorly.
Then in 1600 coffee came along and gave us the Enlightenment, the French Revolution, the American Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, modern art …
It seems that when you put coffee and people together in the same space, interesting and unpredictable things start to happen.
Is there a cafeteria, a bar, an in-house kitchen, or anything similar at your company? I’m asking because it may be the only thing worth salvaging from the pre-pandemic workspace.
