The good gatekeeper
There’s a gatekeeper in all of us. Everything we can achieve, we achieve because the gatekeeper has made the time for it or because they let the right people in. The gatekeeper is driven by ego, self-preservation, and pragmatism.
The bad gatekeeper understands his job in rules: protect the status quo, keep people out, stick to the plan.
The good gatekeeper understands his role in principle: without ego there’s no motivation, without self-preservation there’s no pursuit, without pragmatism, there’s no action.
