The mother of creativity

It may look like creativity to you; in truth, you’re just oblivious to my sources. Some of them I’m oblivious to myself.

All I do is imitate. Sometimes so badly that I can just call it my work as-is. Sometimes I tinker with it until it looks different enough from the reference material that it feels like it has a reason to exist.

Imitation is the mother of creativity.
