Whoops! that wasn't a nail
You’re certainly familiar with the law of the instrument.
If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
But I want you to consider that the law is as true for the hammer as it is for more sophisticated tools.
Some problems are genuinely complex and there’s no one tool, however sophisticated, that can fix them alone.
You must learn to recognize these problems or one day you see a nail where there are none, instinctively reach for the hammer, and CRASH! Now, somebody has to put the pieces back together. Not cool.
